"The joy of directing comes from physically rendering the message, meaning and essence of an author's written work into a four-dimensional reality. The job of the director is to find the magic in the script and nurture and communicate the vision of the work to keep everyone and everything (sets, lights, costumes, actors, props, etc) focused on contributing to the story. Great theatre is created only when every component, piece and action embodies the story and engages the audience."
